I can't think of anything to say other than today was an overall good day. I guess that is good!
After special, in meeting, we shared what we are going to do today to make others smile and instead of a game, I read two books: Goodnight Moon and then the parody, Goodnight iPad. Then, we set goals that are highlighting being unplugged. In read aloud, we read, The Wretched Stone by Chris Van Allsburg. This book was very interesting~ask your kiddo about our theories! In literacy, we read, worked on our informational reports and ABBC tasks. In Social Studies, 5th grade worked on their "Where in the world...?" project while 4th graders completed some American settler fun with making log cabins, yarn dolls or packing the covered wagon activities. In Math, in Mrs. Tanner's room, they continued their 12 days of Christmas project and in Mrs. Kelly's class, some took their addition and subtraction of fraction quizzes and others practiced factoring for unlike denominators. In 4th grade, we continued with our work with measuring angles and our measurement math menu. After recess and quiet time, we discussed positive and negative consequences with an "I have..., Who has...?" game.
Do you ever wonder what a school day in the life of your child looks like? Are you frustrated with the shoulder shrug you receive when asking about their day? Well, wonder no more! Read my daily blog so that you can ask more detailed questions and know more about your child's school life!
