...just another manic Monday... :)
This is always one of the craziest weeks of the year and today did not disappoint! After special, in meeting, we shared about our weekend and then played Sparkle! again. On Friday, when we played, there was some poor sportsmanship but today went great! Once again, it came down to me and another student and the Hayley won! Then, I began reading a quick read aloud for this week, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, about some of the worst kids ever. This book was written in 1972~an oldie but a goodie! Then, we went over setting and how important the when and where is for historical fiction. We also discussed our informational reports and although I had asked for revisions to be turned in today, less than half the class had so today was the LAST day to work on these and their ABBC tasks (which are due on Friday.) In Social Studies, 5th graders continued presenting their, "Where in the World is ____?" projects while 4th graders finished creating ours. We'll be presenting them tomorrow. In Math, 5th graders moved on to multiplication and division of fractions while 4th graders began a mini-project where they are constructing gingerbread houses but began by creating some "blueprints." Our day concluded with our first Arrow U! Our kiddos went to Mrs. Tanner's class where she and Mrs. Clay returned to teach curling! Fun times!
