Anxiety and the movie, "Angst"

I know we didn't have school today, however, I still did! One of the sessions I attended was a showing of the indie film, "Angst." The district was able to show the film to all of the high schools and will be showing it to middle schools later this week. It was a really good documentary about anxiety in today's children. I live with anxiety, as does my daughter, and this was a great look into how student's feel about their anxieties and how we can help them. Another session from today, I actually led, on twice-exceptional (2e) learners: students that have a gifted identification and something else. This something else could be: ADD, ADHD, anxiety, Autism, OCD, learning disability, etc. One of the things we did in our session was watch the documentary, "2e." (You can watch the movie through Kanopy using your library membership.) These two sessions alone resonated strongly with me as I saw our kiddos over and over again in both documentaries and sessions. I've also included a website about how anxiety shows up in some of our kiddos-check it out!
