This week, although it's only Tuesday, is flowing very nicely. We are getting more organized and prioritizing the tasks to be completed so that we are not rushing at the last minute. Thank you for any and all help you are doing at home to help make this happen~I'm starting to see improvement!
After special, in Counting by 7's, we learned a little bit more about Willow and her very high intelligence--so much so that her principal thinks she cheated on the aptitude test because she got a perfect score! She also shared her thoughts on middle school and fashion. :) During our literacy time, we worked on our -vis/vid doodle note as well as our ABBC project for Thursday's final meeting with these groups and for these books. We also shared our doorbell writing prompts with each other and instead of using author's chair to share our own writing, we shared parts of each other's stories that we enjoyed. As historians, we continued reading primary source accounts of the Titanic to determine how it sank--intact or broken in half first. 4th graders got into new groups for math and began studying fractions and equivalence while the 5th graders worked with powers of 10. After lunch and recess, we ended our day continuing our research or learning for Genius Hour/Wonder time.
Do you ever wonder what a school day in the life of your child looks like? Are you frustrated with the shoulder shrug you receive when asking about their day? Well, wonder no more! Read my daily blog so that you can ask more detailed questions and know more about your child's school life!
